Altare della Sacra Famiglia
L’altare dedicato alla Sacra Famiglia custodisce la rispettiva pala d’altare raffigurante S. Giuseppe e il Bambino fra le braccia della Vergine. Ai piedi del Salvatore è raffigurata Santa Venera, Patrona di Acireale, mentre in secondo piano sono raffigurati S.Anna e S.Gioacchino. In alto sono raffigurati angeli e cherubini. Il dipinto è databile alla prima metà del ‘700 ed è di autore ignoto, ma l’articolazione della composizione e dei personaggi richiama ancora una volta alla pittura della scuola di Pietro Paolo Vasta (Acireale, 31 Luglio 1697- Acireale, 28 Novembre 1760).
Altar of the Holy Family
The altar dedicated to the Holy Family shows its altarpiece illustrating Joseph and the Child in the Virgin’s arms. At the feet of the Savior there is Saint Venera, patron saint of Acireale, and in the background, there are Saint Anne and Saint Joachim. On the top, we can see angels and cherubs. This painting dates back to the first half of the XVIth century and the painter is unknown. The way in which the whole scene is illustrated and its characters refer to the school of Pietro Paolo Vasta (a painter who was born and dead in Acireale, 31th July 1697 – 28th November 1760).
