Altare Maggiore
L’antico altare maggiore, realizzato con marmi pregiati, venne donato nel 1858 dal barone di Villermosa Emanuele Tedeschi Bonadies.
Nella parete di fondo del presbiterio, nel 1916, sono stati realizzati da Sebastiano Conti Consoli delle opere decorative raffiguranti degli angeli con dei cartigli, mentre nella lunetta è raffigurata la Madonna con Bambino in trono tra angeli musicanti.
Nel 1993 venne realizzato il nuovo altare dal maestro Salvatore Adamantino. In tale occasione oltre alla mensa furono realizzati l’ambone, il leggio, il candelabro portacero e la croce astile.
Nelle pareti laterali del presbiterio sono raffigurati due polittici che raffigurano la Vergine tra i Santi e i Venerabili Agostiniani. Anche questi sono stati realizzati da Salvatore Adamantino.
The High Altar
The ancient High Altar, realized with precious marbles, was donated by the baron Emanuele Tedeschi Bonadies of Villermosa, in 1858. In 1916, Sebastiano Conti Consoli created some decorative works which can be seen in the back wall of the presbytery. These paintings illustrate some angels playing musical instruments. Moreover, in 1993, the master Salvatore Adamantino realized the new altar. On this occasion, the altar table was realized but also the Ambon, the bookstand, the candleholder for Easter and the processional cross. On the sidewalls of the presbytery, there are two polyptyches. These draw the Virgin among the Saints and the venerable Augustinians. Salvatore Adamantino realized these polyptyches too.
